Norfolk Highlights 1584 - 1881
By George Holbert Tucker
In 1972, as the City of Norfolk began preparations for the American
Bicentennial, the Norfolk Historical Society commissioned George
Holbert Tucker to prepare a book that would highlight Norfolk's
first three centuries.
The Norfolk Historical Society is very pleased to provide, with Mr.
Tucker's gracious permission and enthusiasm, the complete text of the
book. If you would like your own copy of this wonderful book, it is
available for purchase by sending your name and mailing address with
a check for $20.00 ($16.00 plus $4.00 for shipping, handling & sales
tax) to NORFOLK HISTORICAL SOCIETY, P. O. Box 6367, Norfolk, VA, 23508-0367.
