Your letter of the 3rd inst has been received informing me that to meet paymaster Ingersoll’s requisition of the 30th ulto you had on the that day drawn on the Honorable Secretary of the Navy for $13,000 under heads of appropriation viz.:
Navy Yard Norfolk $10,000
Magazine $1000
Hospital $500
Contingent Yards & Docks $1500
