I have received your letter of the 12th inst.
As it appears impossible by any of the plats of Fort Norfolk that you have, to find a correct starting point so as to settle the boundaries satisfactorily to all the parties concerned. You are authorized to agree upon a temporary conventional line as suggested by you, to enable you, to enclose the grounds as proposed.
