Your Exc'y's letter of the 28th I received; nothing further has occurred relative to the pestilential disorder raging in Grenada, but from report great numbers have died. If anything turns up I will immediately inform. The Exchange of the cannon being approved, I will proceed immediately to have them mounted. I have rec'cl a carriage for the nine-pounder, with wheels & much of the iron work wanting, it will be mounted as soon as it can be drilled and put in order for service. Some three-pound balls & cannister shot are wanting for the brass pieces. Your circular letter of the 8th I received, and will attend to it.
