STANDARD-BEARER.
Confederate Monument Will Be Unveiled in Norfolk May 30th.

NORFOLK. VA., April 30. - The Couper statue has been placed in position on the Confederate monument at Commercial Place und Main Street. The statue faces the north. It is a genuine work of art, of heroic size, representing a Confederate standard-bearer, with sword In his right hand, and a flagstaff, with flag, ln his left. It will be unveiled on May 30th at the Memorial Day exercises of Pickett-Buchanan Camp, Confederate Veterans, by Mrs. James Y. Leigh.
