Reverend John J. Mainor

Rev. Mainor was a resident of Norfolk for over 30 years. He served as pastor of Mt. Zion Church in Norfolk County and Saint Matthew’s Church in Princess Anne County. In addition to being a minister, he was one of the founding members of the Knights of Gideon and held the post of Supreme Commander for 37 years. He was married to Alice J. Mainor (1876-1946). They are interred together at Calvary.
